The gastroenterology physicians at Your GI Center are board-certified specialists who have completed extensive training beyond medical school. After earning their medical degrees, both Dr. Nizam Meah and Dr. U. Siddiqui completed three-year internal medicine residencies, followed by an additional three years of specialized gastroenterology fellowship training. This rigorous educational pathway ensures that our gastroenterologists possess deep expertise in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of digestive disorders, from common conditions like acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome to complex diseases requiring advanced endoscopic procedures.
Serves as the founding physician of Your GI Center, bringing over twelve years of experience to patients in Houston, Bay City, and Lake Jackson. Dr. Meah completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, one of the nation’s premier medical training institutions. His research on colorectal cancer has been published in respected medical journals, and his contributions to establishing standards for gastrointestinal endoscopy sedation have been cited by professional societies nationwide. Patients appreciate Dr. Meah’s personable approach, his thoughtful consideration of each patient’s unique circumstances, and his commitment to putting patients before profit. Brings dual board certification in both gastroenterology and internal medicine to Your GI Center. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Siddiqui’s exceptional clinical skills and leadership abilities were recognized when he was selected as Chief Resident during his internal medicine training and Chief Fellow during his gastroenterology fellowship—prestigious positions awarded only to the most outstanding trainees. His research on gastrointestinal bleeding following cardiac stent placement, gastric ulcer management, and uncommon colonic tumors has been presented at national gastroenterology conferences. Patients consistently praise Dr. Siddiqui for his thorough, straightforward approach and his extensive knowledge of the digestive system. Is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, one of the nation’s top nursing programs. She is licensed by the State of Texas and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the gold standard for advanced practice nursing certification. Yuny’s membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing recognizes her superior achievement and leadership in the nursing profession. Her practice emphasizes disease prevention, particularly colon cancer screening as preventative care, along with diagnosis and management of common gastroenterology problems. Yuny takes time to listen carefully to each patient’s concerns and provides comprehensive evaluations that address individual needs and circumstances.
Brings over thirteen years of nursing experience to Your GI Center. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, having completed her Master’s program at Prairie View A&M University. Hazel’s commitment to serving her community extends beyond the clinic—she serves as a licensed medical volunteer with the American Red Cross, volunteers with the Chevron Houston Marathon medical team, and was part of the disaster response team at Memorial Hermann Hospital during Hurricane Harvey. Her active membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (Gastroenterology Specialty Practice Group), American College of Gastroenterology, and Houston Area Nurse Practitioners ensures she stays current with the latest developments in gastroenterology care. Hazel uses evidence-based practice to diagnose and manage GI disorders, and her effective listening skills and interpersonal approach ensure that each patient receives comprehensive, individualized care.
