Colonoscopy remains one of the most important preventive health procedures available. Colorectal cancer is highly preventable when precancerous polyps are detected and removed before they develop into cancer. Our gastroenterologists employ careful, thorough technique to maximize polyp detection rates, providing you with the best possible protection against this preventable disease.
We provide colonoscopy services for routine colon cancer screening (age 45 and older), evaluation of rectal bleeding, changes in bowel habits, or abdominal pain, surveillance of patients with personal or family history of polyps or colorectal cancer, monitoring of inflammatory bowel disease, and investigation of unexplained anemia or weight loss.
Upper endoscopy allows direct visualization of the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the upper digestive tract. This procedure provides accurate diagnosis and enables therapeutic interventions during the same examination.
We perform upper endoscopy for evaluation of persistent heartburn, acid reflux, or GERD, investigation of difficulty swallowing, upper abdominal pain, or nausea, diagnosis and treatment of ulcers, gastritis, and esophagitis, screening and surveillance
for Barrett’s esophagus, removal of swallowed foreign objects, esophageal dilation for strictures, and evaluation of unexplained bleeding or anemia.
ERCP is a specialized procedure that combines endoscopy and fluoroscopy to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts and pancreatic duct. This advanced technique allows us to remove bile duct stones, place stents to relieve blockages, diagnose bile duct strictures and tumors, evaluate pancreatic duct abnormalities, treat complications of pancreatitis, and address sphincter of Oddi dysfunction.
Endoscopic ultrasound combines endoscopy with ultrasound imaging to provide detailed visualization of the digestive tract wall and surrounding structures. This sophisticated procedure allows us to evaluate pancreatic masses and cysts, stage gastrointestinal cancers, assess bile duct abnormalities, obtain tissue samples through fine needle aspiration, evaluate submucosal lesions, and assess gallbladder and liver conditions.
